IT - Back in the Day
DTS Consulting Services began its journey in 1993 when the Information Technology world was shifting from command-line systems to multitasking operating systems.
Businesses were ordering tower PCs with brand-new Pentium processors, laptops were briefcases, mobile phones were bricks, pagers and fax machines were everywhere, email and surfing the web were cutting edge, and Software-as-a-Service felt like science fiction.
Very patient customers often waited months for customized software applications that were distributed on floppy disks, delivered by sneaker-net, and installed on stand-alone PCs.
DTS evolved through client/server architecture, dot-matrix printers, disaster recovery from tape backups, AOL CDs in the mail, and the days when a network outage sometimes meant somebody kicked the cord.
